How to set the Motion Sensitivity level in Linksys Aware

Linksys Aware allows you to adjust the motion sensitivity level to fit your home.  A higher sensitivity level will detect smaller and shorter motions than a lower sensitivity level that may require sustained motion over a longer period of time.  A sensitivity level at the top of the range will lead to more notifications.

This article will help you set the motion sensitivity level that works for you.
 

Directions

Step 1:
Log in to the Linksys app with your email address and password.  

Step 2:
On the dashboard screen, tap on the Linksys Aware tile or tap on the menu icon and select Linksys Aware.





Step 3:
On the Linksys Aware screen, tap Settings.



Step 4:
Tap on Motion Sensitivity.



Step 5:
Use the slider to adjust the sensitivity to a level that best describes your home activity.  It can either be Low, Medium, High, or Extra High.  
  • Low:  motion by something large and intense, lasting at least 20 seconds.  This setting is best for those in apartments, or those who want to exclude motion from large pets and robot vacuums.
  • Medium:  motion by something large or intense, lasting at least 15 seconds.  This setting is best for those who may want to exclude motion from large pets.
  • High:  motion by something at least moderate or greater, happening for at least 10 seconds.  This setting is best for those who may want to exclude motion from small pets.
  • Extra High:  motion by anything for at least 3 seconds.  This setting is best for those who want to include almost all motion.



Step 6:
Tap Save to apply your preference.

NOTE:  The Save button will become visible when you make a change.
