Overview of the Linksys MR8300's web interface when in Router Mode

The Linksys MR8300 Mesh WiFi Router, AC2200 is the first Intelligent Mesh compatible router.  By adding additional Velop nodes, you can expand your network.  This article will provide an overview of the Linksys MR8300's web interface when in Router Mode.  
 

The primary method to manage and set up your Mesh router is using the Linksys app.  Should you need to access the web interface for advance configuration, this article will assist in advance configuration.

Dashboard IconDescription and Image
Device ListDisplays the list of connected devices.

Guest AccessThe Guest Access page allows you to configure your dual-band Guest Wi-Fi settings.  Your Guest Wi-Fi uses the WPA2™ wireless encryption.

Parental ControlsThe Parental Controls feature is used to manage bandwidth usage and block internet access on a connected device or specific sites per device.

Device PrioritizationDevice Prioritization allows you to prioritize internet usage per device.  High Priority devices (wired or wireless) will always stay connected.  Normal Priority devices share the leftover capacity.  Drag and drop devices to change priority.

Speed CheckThe Speed Check tool is a helpful feature that measures the download (from the internet) and upload (to the internet) speeds of your Wi-Fi.  Speed Check is a good way to find out whether you are getting the level of service provided by your ISP.

ConnectivityThe Connectivity page has the following tabs:
 
  • The Basic tab allows you to update your Admin Password, check for a Firmware Update, and change your Time Zone.

  • The Internet Settings tab allows you to change the Type of Internet Connection, MTU Size, and enable MAC Address Clone

  • The Local Network tab allows you to configure your Router Details and DHCP Server.

  • The Advanced Routing tab allows you to enable or disable NAT, Dynamic Routing (RIP) and configure Static Routing.
