Overview of the Network Administration feature of Linksys Atlas Pro 6 Dual-Band Mesh WiFi

The Network Administration feature of the Linksys Atlas Pro 6 Dual-Band Mesh WiFi provides information about your router and WiFi.  You can also restart your device in this section.
 

To go to the Network Administration page, you have to log in to the Linksys app first.  For instructions, click here.  Then, tap the menu icon at the upper-left corner of the screen and then tap Network Administration. 



 
SettingDescription
Parent nodeThe first router on the list is the parent node which is connected to your modem.  Tap on it to view information or configure the node.
  • Change the name of the parent node
  • Connected to:  the parent router will display Internet source
  • Displays the serial number, model number and current firmware version
  • Displays the router’s LAN IP address
  • Displays the WAN IP address
 


 
Child nodesAll other nodes after the parent are child nodes.   Child nodes are used in your network to extend your WiFi.

Tap on a child node to view information or configure it.

 
  • Change the name of the child node
  • Signal Strength:  View the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) signal strength of a child node.  With RSSI, you can monitor the connection of a node and make adjustments accordingly.  If your signal shows as Fair or Weak, try relocating or moving your child node closer to another node and check your child node’s signal again.
  • Displays the serial number, model number, current firmware version
  • Displays the LAN IP address
  • View the name of the parent node that the child node is currently connected to 


 
Node light infoTap on this section to learn more about the light behavior of the node.


 
Change Router Password and HintTap this to change the network’s admin password.  You may use this password to do the following:
 
  • Log in with the Linksys app locally without using your Linksys cloud account
  • Access the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page of the node

To change the local password for the node, you must meet the password requirements as prompted below.


 
Automatic Firmware UpdateBy default, the Automatic Firmware Update setting is enabled.


 
Time ZoneThis displays the current time zone set for the network.  Tap on the Time Zone arrow to make changes.
 
Diagnostic InformationThe Diagnostic Information is enabled by default.
Manually report
a specific issue
Tap Report to report a specific issue.  Select the issue that best describes the problem, enter your feedback, and tap Send.
IP DetailsThis section displays a summary of the network’s IP Details.
 
  • Connection Type
  • WAN IP address
  • IPv6 address
  • LAN IP addresses of parent and child nodes
Restart RouterYou can restart your device through the Linksys app.
