How to enable the Linksys LAPAC1300CW's PoE Out port through the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0

The Linksys LAPAC1300CW AC1300 Cloud Managed In-Wall AP TAA Compliant has an Ethernet 2 802.3af PoE Out port that is disabled by default.  This means that this port can be used as a regular LAN port but without PoE capabilities.

IMPORTANT:  If you want to connect a PoE client device to your access point, you will need to enable the PoE Out port to provide power for the PoE client.

Follow the steps below to learn how to enable this port:

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your Linksys LAPAC1300CW is powered ON by an 802.3at PoE+ connection using the Ethernet 1 802.3af/at PoE In port located at the back of the access point.  Using an 802.3af PoE connection or a 12V/1A power adapter will NOT provide sufficient power to enable the PoE Out port.
