Accessing the Linksys WAPT1200AC’s web-based setup page

The Linksys WAPT1200AC AC1200 Wi-Fi Access Point is one of the latest access points from Linksys with 802.11ac technologyFor instructions on how to access your Linksys WAPT1200AC’s web-based setup page, follow the steps below:

NOTE:  This article assumes that the Linksys WAPT1200AC is already installed and working properly.
 
Step 1:
Go to a computer that is connected to the access point then open a web browser.
 
Step 2:
Do one of the following methods to log in the Linksys WAPT1200AC’s web-based setup page.
 
i.  Enter "http://ap.linksys.com" in the Address bar.
 
NOTE:  You must be connected to the wireless network name (SSID) of the Linksys WAPT1200AC if you are using a Wi-Fi computer.         
 
ii.  Enter "http://WAPT1200AC-xxx" for Windows users, where xxx are the last three (3) characters of the Linksys WAPT1200AC’s MAC address.  The MAC address is located at the back label of the device.
 
NOTE:  If you changed your Linksys WAPT1200AC name, then you will need to use the custom name (eg. http://MyAP).

iii.  Enter "http://WAPT1200AC-xxx.local" for Mac® users, where xxx are the last three (3) characters of the Linksys WAPT1200AC’s MAC address.  The MAC address is located at the back label of the device.
                       
NOTE:  If you changed your Linksys WAPT1200AC name, then you will need to use the custom name (eg. http://MyAP.local).
 
iv.  Enter the Linksys WAPT1200AC’s IP address.​
 
NOTE:  If the Linksys WAPT1200AC does not detect a DHCP server, the default IP address is 192.168.1.1.  Otherwise, you will need to look up your access point’s IP address in the DHCP table.  To know how to do this using a Linksys Wi-Fi Router, click here.  If you are using a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router, click here.
 
QUICK TIP:  Some options may not be available in the Access Point mode due to the design and functionality as an access point.
 

Step 3:
Press the [Enter] key on your keyboard.


Step 4:
You will be prompted for an administrative Password.  If you have changed your password, enter your customized password.  Otherwise, enter the default “admin” in the appropriate field then click Login.
