Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhonda from Inexpensive and It Works! I bought Linksys about several weeks ago. I had been using Clear for a few years for $40.00 a month for the last six months, which gave me direct access to the internet from my desktop. Unfortunately, because Clear was unlimited and taking customers from Sprint, they were bought out by Sprint. No more Clear as of November 6, 2015. How was I going to get connected, now? I read something online about turning your desktop wireless and began searching for something. During my search, I found Linksys, read the reviews and decided to give it a try for only $29.99! It was easy to install. I now use my landlord's wifi for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by veryblueflame from Works Like a Charm! I changed to wireless and needed something my ancient (10 year-old) desktop computer could use to communicate with a wireless "hot spot". I tried so many different types of wireless adapters, it was getting ridiculous. They would work for a few days or a couple of weeks, then quit. This little gem has worked since I first installed it several months ago and has not been a problem at all so far. I have Windows 7 and a Verizon Mifi. I highly recommend this this adapter!

Rated 1 out of 5 by pmichener10 from HORRIBLE I bought one of these at a local radioshack about 2 weeks ago. Every time I restart my computer I need to redo the setup. Half the speed of my old computer. USB port already broke in 2 weeks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Timc from Not working for Wondows 10. I bought this brand new 12/3/2015. I twas easy to install on Windows 8.1. Did teh Windows 10 upgrade and now it does not work. I look at teh site and there are no Windows 10 Drivers. Post here says they knew this at least 4 months ago. So now I have a $30 micro paper weight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by The Bob from Works with Windows 8 or 10? I could not find a Windows 8 driver and had to use a different USB device. It worked exceptional with Windows 7. I don't know why Linksys was not ready for Windows 8

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Works better than I hoped. I was so surprised when an older "Pentium" desktop went wifi, using the AE1200, and software, like a brand new laptop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by So Bummed from Linksys AE 1200 N300 does not work w/Windows 10 Just purchased this after I was having trouble connecting a desktop without wifi to our home network. Since I have a Linksys router, I thought this would be the most compatible. After much on-line research and trouble shooting (hours), it turns out they don't have a driver for Windows 10. Who would have thought? Not worth the trouble to return it, but would have been nice had it stated specifically that it is not Windows 10 compatible. Could have saved me some money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Juan from one of the worse adapters made It loses connection every 30 minutes to an hr, that I have to reset the adapter or remove it from the usb and reinsert it. When watching a movie it begins to buffer like on dial up. Takes long to load a page. Went on Linksys site to update the firmware and it did nothing to improve it. Contacted tech support but they didnt have any solutions or new drivers for the device. I have 120 Mbs internet so is not my connection. Waste of money.

*Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
