Rated 3 out of 5 by from First Two weeks with the CG7500 So far no real performance gains over the Comcast supplied Cisco DPC3941T Router. The CG7500 has caused a latency in websites initially loading up and has also resulted in many "No Internet Connections" which are resolved by refreshing the webpage (irritating). I am very technically savvy and have gone back and forth between the two routers and it is definitely the Linksys. This connectivity issue applies to PC, MAC and cellphones so therefore covers issues across multiple OS as well as all three popular web browsers. Running firmware version- 1.0.00.016 I'm GREATLY hoping that a new firmware will be out soon to address these issues, as I'm a long-time linksys fan

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works Great.... almost I just bought this and everything works perfect on xfinity. easy set, up easy activation. xfinity was quick and easy. The problem is my moto g5 plus (also brand new) will not stay connected to wifi. i have tried everything. Reset this, reboot that... i am fed up. I can't figure it out. My laptop works great, My kids iphone works great. It connects and drops over and over. no interference from anything and i'm about 10 ft from the router with nothing in the way. Oh, and the phone connects to everyone else's wifi without a problem, so its hard to blame the phone. it's rather annoying and stupid. get something else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cox does not support I received this unit in exchange for an honest rating. I was excited to upgrade to a faster router than I currently own and was combo modem router. Installing the unit was very easy. Then the first step was to activate the modem with my service provider, Cox. The built in self-activation step did not work so I called Cox. They confirmed that they do not support this unit so I would not be able to use it. I called Linksys technical support who advised they are still working with Cox but confirmed I would not be able to use this unit currently. (I hate to give poor star ratings since I couldn't actually use this product, but I want to write a review as I agreed to).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ac1900 WI-WI CABLE MODEM ROUTER, MODEL CG7500 I did have a Linksys Modem & Router that gave excellent service. This combination modem/router works even better & is slightly faster. The reason for the low mark on setup was because Comcast had trouble activating it. The first tech from Comcast could not activate it. After getting disconnected I called back & got a Lady tech. 15 minutes later she had taken care of everything. I elected to Not do a custom setup so my part took just a few minutes. I really like that it is upright, better air circulation & seems to run cooler. The Wi-Fi covers the whole house so I don't have to buy a range extender.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MODEL I purchased this Linksys CG7500 AC1900 cable modem router to replace Xfinity rental equipment. The wifi will not stay connected to the phones or laptop. I called Xfinity to have them turn it on to their system. then spent 2 hours on the phone with Linksys with no joy!.....They would have the next level tech call me the next day. 3 hours + on the phone with him and the wifi still will not hold a connection. They are going to review their findings and get back to me. The wifi drops and reconnects every 2 to three seconds. the TV keeps stopping and the cell phones and laptops are slow and intermittent. I checked the reviews and found I am not the only one with this problem. Linksys is aware of the problem but have not recalled them. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and configure1 Easy to install and configure, has all the features you need. basically 6 easy steps and you are up and running. I even added a camera and went to the security section for port forwarding! took longer for the cable company to switch the mac address than it did to install this unit and as advertised I can return my old modem and stop paying a monthly fee. smaller footprint and one less power jack taken up. I have a Ranch and I have coverage from one end of the house to the other and my linksys ac1900 is at the far end of the house. this box is definitely worth a look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectrum instructions.. It works great! Stable connection, no hikkups, streaming media to multiple decices. With SPECTRUM (at least in NYC) you have to make sure to mention your product name. It is on Spectrum’s minimally tested products’ list, which means it works well although it hasn’t been thoroughly tested for speed reliability. In my case it is faster and super stable so far, which is suprising for Spectrum in Brooklyn. I have spent 3 hours with Spectrum until they figured out they have to change a provision setting on their side to activate the modem properly. I happily recommend it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Need to fix mobile WiFi I purchased this i April 2017 and it was easy to setup. However, the Mobile Wifi will not work properly with mobile devices. The company knows about the issue and has been promising a firmware patch since May 2017. Spoke to customer service yesterday and was told the firmware patch will roll out this month (November 2017). Stop telling people to reset their modems and all this other remedies when you know it's your product that is faulty.

*1.9 Gbps represents the advertised throughput you can achieve with the Internet plan provided by your cable service provider. Actual throughput may be lower than 1.9 Gbps, as this throughput is dependent on your contract with your cable service provider.
†960 Mbps based on DOCSIS3.0 throughput. Maximum speed varies depending on the service provided by the cable operator. IPv6 availability is dependent upon your ISP or service provider providing IPv6 capability.
Speed references are provided, marketed, and sold by your broadband service provider and not Linksys. Actual performance may vary, including lower network speed and data throughput rate. Performance depends upon many factors, conditions and variables, including products used, number of users accessing the Internet, type of traffic generated by each user (interactive browsing versus video streaming), interference, and other adverse conditions. Actual data throughput will be lower than indicated and may depend on the mix of products used and external factors. Requires an existing cable account. If you don’t have an existing cable account, contact your local cable provider to sign up for broadband Internet service. Modem will not work with DSL service.
