Rated 2 out of 5 by from App is v.poor. Works better with Amazon Echo I have been using WeMo devices for over five years. I have switches, light switches, and a Maker. The problem is connectivity from the app. It's very rare that all active devices (I have 7 in everyday use) are contactable when I open the app. It's very annoying when I try to report the problem that the app says it cannot submit a report despite everything else working just fine on my phone. I have excellent WiFi coverage (2 wireless access points) on both 2.4 and 5Ghz. It's also odd that Amazon Echo can usually still control devices the app says aren't responding. The app seems the weak link in the weMo ecosystem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super frustrating I bought this over a month ago and it worked fine with my lamp but then I acquired other cooler lights that I wanted to tell Alexa to switch on and off. That simple just move the switch to another outlet with another device. I would also like to say I am pretty tech savvy, but the struggle with this stupid plug is unbelievable. I am spending hours just trying to connect the thing and not to mention I live in town so I have at least 2 strong connections and it takes 5 minutes just to tell me it was unable to connect. I looked up what to do and it said restart it and whatever so I did so many many times and nothing works. In fact it still isn’t working. It’s extremely frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Wemo's I bought 2 Wemo mini smart plugs and one Wemo light switch for my outside lights... I have my outside lights on a schedule to turn on at dusk and off at dawn. I have one plug for our living room lamps and one for our bedroom lamps... all are tied to our Google Home. Because we leave for work while it's dark and we leave our dogs in our bedroom we have the bedroom lamps on a schedule to turn off the lights after it gets light. We use the Google home to turn on/off the living room lights and set a schedule up when we go on vacation. It was easy to setup and I'm about to get another one to control our patio lights... love that Wemo!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money Purchased multiple packs of these and gave out 3 other sets as Christmas gifts. So far nobody can get the rules to run more than once. Consistently forgets settings and never runs more than once. There app (in my case running on iPhone) is some of the worst programming I have ever seen. It is sluggish and freezes up on the simplest of commands. Even though you save the settings, then next day you need to enter them again.. Out of the five pairs of mini plugs that I purchased and gifted - 3 of us are all having the same problems. At this point all five sets will be returned! I cant believe that something this simple and Belkin can not make them work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wemo mini switches Just bought the Amazon Echo and three WEMO mini switches. The three switches installed easily and are working with the timing rules and via Alexa voice commands. I bought three additional mini switches and I cannot get them to install.. They are not immediately found by my iphone and when they finally are, they go through the Wi-Fi location phase and the screen says it has found my home wifi but then they do not show up in the WEMO app, even after multiple refreshes. I am at the point of returning all of them as I need to have more than three switch controls working. I'm at a loss. I've tried them in different outlets and still the same problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Convenient once you get it working I bought the mini and a light switch to help manage my lights when I stay out later than I planned or when I go out of town. Right out the box it seemed simple enough to set up but it proved much more difficult. For some reason the plug wasn’t seeing my router and every self help thing I could find didn’t work. When I finally broke down and called tech support they did help me get it going but I needed to enable the “guest network” on my router and all I could think of was how that conversation would have gone if my dad who is NOT tech savvy made that call. Anyway, now that both devices are connected, it’s all good and I’m happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant if you do the update before to the begin I really doubt about the performance of this device. But after few step and error I see that everything works fine if you do somes step. 1 - Download the app of the brand. 2 - Turn on Bluetooth 3 - Add the device with the manufacturer App. 4 - Do the update. 5 - Delete the device added previously in the manufacturer App. 6 - Press on button of device 10 seconds. 7 - Note the homekit No. to the back of device. 8 - Go in Homekit and add a new device. 9 - Press on "No code or impossible to scan code" 10 - Enter the Homekit No. of device. 11 - My device take 1 to 2 minute to be connected to your network. 12 - And finally everything come back to normal after step 11.dioi

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WiFi connecting I tried to connect to the WiFi and it took numerous attempts. I followed all the troubleshooting info and recommendations without success. Finally after I pulled all my hair out it worked after once again unplugging, pushing the switch button, plugging it back in and holding the button in for 20 seconds it responded and I was able to get my light to work. It would very useful, at least for me, if there was a way on the app to determine whether or not the switch had actually activated or not. When I'm not home and I want to verify the light came on ( obviously can't see the light on or off ) if I new the switch was on or off.
