Stream videos and play online games without interference, thanks to transfer speeds of up to N300 Mbps + N300 Mbps**. Plus, a Fast Ethernet port lets you create a reliable wired connection to a desktop or laptop computer or other Internet-ready device.

The RE4100W extends the wireless coverage area of up to 7,500 square feet* by repeating and redistributing the signal from the router to eliminate dead zones. It also features Crossband technology, allowing wireless bands to receive information on one band and transmit on the other to reduce dropped data packets.

The result is a stronger, more reliable WiFi signal, allowing you to stay connected on your mobile device or laptop from anywhere inside--or even outside your home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, once it is set up I purchased this range extender to replace an older Linksys version. The older one has only the 2.4 ghz capability, and I wanted to utilize the 5 ghz afforded by my mother board and router. The set up was not smooth, primarily due to the poor instructions - even on the website. I had to call tech support (not in the U.S I'm sure). The lady was pleasant, but had a difficult time explaining the instructions. FINALLY after about a half hour of dink time, it was set up and it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good range and set up I have a 2,500 square foot ranch style home and my home office is located at one end of the house. My current Linksys wireless router did not cover the square footage so I purchased the Linksys RE4100W N600 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender. I connected the range extender into my laptop and tested a couple locations and installed it where it suggested. I used my current Linksys password to set up the range extender and I was off and running. I believe from start to finish it took me between 5 and ten minutes. I recommend this Linksys range extender to anyone that needs extra coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup I upgraded my WiFi router because my old one was beginning to lock up every few days (another brand). The new Linksys router works great but still showed some dead spots because my 3500 square foot two-story house has plaster walls. The $10 range extender from China chose this time to bite the bullet as well. I went ahead and got the RE4100W, and had it running in about 5 minutes, including my security cameras. On older generation devices their setup was a multi-step process. I have whole-house coverage and I cannot detect any degradation in speed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to Set Up I bought this to replace a previous Linksys expander that would no longer stay connected. Anyway, this one does seem to work but the set up instructions were very unclear and misleading. After I went through them three times I finally figured out what I was suppose to do to get it to work. Please, Pleae improve your set up instructions. Better yet write them on a piece of paper and include with device rather that trying to find them on the web. Understand that most people don't speak IP addresses very well!!.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product once setup I bought this in view to extend my wifi range into the back garden and to stream music through my smart phone. Initial setup was easy by using the WPS function which took only a few minutes. But I was unable to find any information on how to stream audio. The pack only consist of a quick start guide and a regulatory informarion leaflet. What it needs is a User Manual to be included in the box. After strolling the Linksys Official Site, the only downloadable file I could only find is the Limited Warranty Agreement. I did finally managed to locate and downloaded the user manual from the internet, which has a list of audio streaming apps I should be using to stream audio using my smart phone. I am rating the setup lowly for the fact that user manual is not in the box and is not available from the official site.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful in our big old house We recently added the Lynksys range extender to our system to make it more reliable in parts of the house that are distant from the router, particularly since we had needed to move the router to a different location than its original one. We set up the extender and it seems to be working fine now, though setting it up was somewhat hit-or-miss and a bit less intuitive than they would have had me believe. A little more explanation with a little less slightly arcane jargon would have been helpful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised. It's been almost a month and been very happy with the extender, the only cons I have is that the typical wall plugs are low to the floor which negates the signal strength so I mounted it with an extension cord higher up on the wall which significantly improved the signal coverage. One other con was that it wanted to connect to my guest network only however the web interface was easy to use to make it mirror my dual band router settings which I was pleased included automatically hiding the SSID as it is on the router.

*Range specifications are based on performance test results under normal use case conditions. Actual ranges will increase or decrease depending on wireless obstructions, operating environments and building material. Wireless coverage claims are used only as reference and are not guaranteed, as each wireless network is unique.
**Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specification. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range, and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference, and other adverse conditions.
