Setting up the Linksys SPNMX55CTF for Connect Fibre ISP

This article will show you how to set up and configure the Linksys SPNMX55CTF for Connect Fibre ISP.

Before you begin:

  • The node must be connected directly to the Connect Fibre equipment.  Connect Fibre requires traffic going through a VLAN ID (VLAN 101).  If the node is connected to an upstream network device other than Connect Fibre’s equipment, it will not detect any traffic.  Connecting the node to an upstream router is not supported.
  • The router supports Automatic Setup via Connect Fibre’s Automatic Configuration Server (ACS) feature which means that once the router is plugged into Connect Fibre’s equipment, it will self-configure itself. Do not use the Linksys app until the node has a solid blue light.
  • The default SSID is Connect_Fibre_xxxx where xxxx is the last four digits of the node's MAC address.
  • Admin password - Once the parent node has an internet connection, the default admin password will automatically change to the default WiFi password located on the product label.

Directions

Step 1:
Power ON your node and connect an ethernet to the internet port in the router and the other end to your Connect Fibre equipment.  A solid purple light on the node will indicate that it is ready for setup.

Step 2:
Wait a few minutes.  The indicator light will change from solid purple to blinking white, indicating that it is configuring itself.  Once the light is solid blue, the node is online and ready to use.

Step 3:
You can now connect your clients to your new WiFi. The WiFi credentials are located on the product label.

Step 4:
After the node is online, you can then link your network to your Linksys cloud account. To manage the node with the Linksys app, make sure to connect your mobile device to your WiFi.
