The Keychain® Access utility of Mac OS X® securely stores all your passwords for websites, servers, networks, applications, and more in a keychain. Using a single login password, you can unlock the keychain for viewing and managing of passwords, digital certificates and notes containing important information.
The steps below will guide you on how to navigate and use the Keychain Access utility to view and get your passwords.
Step 1:
Click Go and select Utilities.
Step 2:
Under Utilities, double-click Keychain Access.
Step 3:
In Keychain Access, click Passwords then select the wireless network you want to connect to.
NOTE: In this example, the MyHomeNetwork-5 is used.
Step 4:
Click the Show Password box once the prompt appears.
Step 5:
Enter your Keychain password once the prompt appears then click OK.
QUICK TIP: The Username may vary depending on the configuration of the Mac® computer. In this example, MacBook Pro was used.
NOTE: The Keychain password is different from your Apple ID/Password.
After supplying the needed credentials, the password of the network that you selected will now be displayed.
You may close the windows when you’re done or repeat the same steps if you wish to check on your other passwords.
