Accessing the Network Storage’s Web-Based Setup Page

All Linksys network storage has a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.

NOTE:  Before accessing the network attached storage’s web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to the Ethernet ports on the router. Determine the IP address of the LAN segment you’re connecting to.  This will help you determine the IP address you’ll be changing to NAS to.  By default the NAS IP address is “192.168.1.77”, if your network is not using the same LAN segment as the NAS, change it to match the LAN segment your network is connecting to.

Accessing the Network Storage’s Web-Based Setup Page

NOTE:  To access the network storage's web-based setup page using Mac computer, click here.

Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.

Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your network storage’s IP Address then press [Enter].

NOTE:  If the IP address of the network storage has been changed, type the network storage’s IP address in the Address bar instead. If you forgot the IP address, reset the network storage system.  Your network storage IP address and all the settings will be turn back to its default factory settings.  For instructions on how to reset your network storage, click  here.

The network storage’s IP address can be changed by:

i. Running the network storage’s setup CD.
ii. Changing it on the network storage’s web-based setup page. Click here for the instructions.

If you forgot the network storage’s IP address you can:

i. Check the network storage’s IP address.
ii. Press the Reset button at the back of the network storage for 30 seconds.

NOTE:  This procedure will reset your network storage to factory defaults. Any settings on the network storage will be erased. The network storage IP address will be “192.168.1.77” and the username and password will be “admin” after resetting.

Step 3:
Once you click Administration, a new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Enter “admin” for User name and Password (“admin” is the default user name password), then click OK.

NOTE:   If the password of the network storage has been changed, type the network storage’s new password in the Password field instead.

The network storage’s password can be changed by:

i. Running the network storage’s setup CD.
ii. Changing it on the network storage’s web-based setup page.
