How to do a Speed Check using your Velop system
Speed Check is a helpful feature that measures the download (from the internet) and upload (to the internet) speeds of your Wi-Fi. It is a good way to find out if you are getting the level of service from your internet service provider (ISP). Internet connection speeds can vary depending on a variety of factors, including ISP account type, local and worldwide internet traffic, and the number of devices in your home that are sharing the internet connection and what those devices are doing.
It is recommended to perform Speed Check through the Linksys app. However, if you are unable to use the Linksys app, performing speed check through the node’s web interface can also be done through following the steps below.
Log in to the Velop’s web interface. For specific instructions, click here.
Once you’re in the dashboard, click on Speed Check.
Once you enter the Speed Check section, a test ping will automatically begin.
The Download Speed is the rate at which internet content is transferred to your Velop system.
The Upload Speed represents how quickly you can upload content to the internet.
Once the test has completed, you should be able to see the Results based on your current internet setup.
