Step 1:
Set up the Linksys E9450.

Before you begin, take note of the following:

  • The Linksys E9450 router that is connected to the ONT is called the parent node.  Other Linksys E9450 routers that you will use to extend the WiFi are called child nodes.
  • You can either use a wired computer or a wireless device (e.g., a laptop, tablet or a smartphone) to set up the router.
  • To set up the router using a wireless device, you will need the router's default WiFi name and password.  These are located on the router’s product label.  The default WiFi names are Linksysxxxxx-guest and Linksysxxxxx_5GHz-guest (the xxxxx is for the last five digits of the router’s serial number).

Step 2:
Check where your internet connection is coming from.  If you are using a Singtel ONT, disconnect and remove your old router.

Step 3:
Power OFF your ONT.

Step 4:
Connect the router to the ONT using an ethernet cable by connecting one end of the cable to the internet port of the router and the other end to an ethernet (LAN) port of the ONT.

Step 5:
Power ON your router and wait for its power and WiFi indicator lights to turn solid blue.

Step 6:
Using an ethernet cable, connect a computer into one of the ethernet (LAN) ports of the router.

NOTE:  By default, the router runs in DHCP WAN mode without VLAN tag.  This page may appear when the router is installed with Singtel ONT that requires VLAN tag.

  • Select the Singtel profile then click on Apply.

sf47929-011_en_v2.png

  • The Singtel profile will have a feature to support the Singtel TV STB to work.  It also has an incorporated multi VLAN on WAN interface.
  • If you ever need to run the setup wizard again, just reset the router.  For instructions on how to reset the router to factory default settings, click here or scan the QR code below.
