The Media Access Control Address or the MAC Address is a series of 12 hexadecimal characters that serves as a unique identifier for a computer or device that is connected to your network. Step 1:
Access the command prompt.
- For Windows® 10 - Press the Windows
key on your keyboard to access the Start screen. Type “cmd” or "Command Prompt" in the search field, and then select Command Prompt icon once the search result appears.

- For Windows® 8 and 8.1 - Press the Windows
key on your keyboard to access the Start screen. Type “cmd” or "Command Prompt" in the search field, and then select Command Prompt icon once the search result appears.

- For Windows® 7 / Vista® - Click the Pearl
button > enter “cmd” > press [Enter].
- For Windows® XP - Click Start > Run > enter “cmd” then click OK.

Step 2:
On the Command Prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” then press [Enter].
Step 3:
Look for the Physical Address section under Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi to view your wireless adapter’s MAC Address.
Checking the Mac® computer’s wireless MAC Address
Step 1:
Click the Apple® icon then select the System Preferences… option.
Step 2:
In the System Preferences window, click Network.
Step 3:
Click the Advanced… button when the Network window appears.
NOTE: The default Location is Automatic.
Step 4:
Click Hardware in the Network window. Your computer’s MAC Address should be available.
