Checking the computer’s wireless MAC Address
The Media Access Control Address or the MAC Address is a series of 12 hexadecimal characters that serves as a unique identifier for a computer or device that is connected to your network. This article will show you how to check the MAC Address of your computer. To learn how to do this, click on your computer’s operating system below:

Step 1:
Access the command prompt.
- For Windows® 10 - Press the Windows
key on your keyboard to access the Start screen. Type “cmd” or "Command Prompt" in the search field, and then select Command Prompt icon once the search result appears.
- For Windows® 8 and 8.1 - Press the Windows
key on your keyboard to access the Start screen. Type “cmd” or "Command Prompt" in the search field, and then select Command Prompt icon once the search result appears.

Step 2:
On the Command Prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” then press [Enter].
Step 3:
Look for the Physical Address section under Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi to view your wireless adapter’s MAC Address.
Checking the Mac® computer’s wireless MAC Address
Step 1:
Click the Apple® icon then select the System Preferences… option.
Step 2:
In the System Preferences window, click Network.
Step 3:
Click the Advanced… button when the Network window appears.
NOTE: The default Location is Automatic.
Step 4:
Click Hardware in the Network window. Your computer’s MAC Address should be available.
You should have successfully checked the wireless MAC Address of your computer.
